One of the last cria for our special Smokejumper, lost before he could really produce on our farm, Firestarter has a special place in our herd. Now that we sold one Jumper daughter, we have only Glow and Firestarter.

She wasn't able to show because we have a small show string and initially another 'took her place' in the line and later when we considered it we realized that without having coated her dirty state would not serve her well in the show ring. But, since we were looking forward to her breeding future, it didn't matter that much.

Unfortunately, circumstances (both of our and industry/weather causes) she didn't get a chance to breed in 2022 like she should have. This well developed girl has been ready!

This year we bred her to our multiple grey champion Truthsayer to see what she wants to produce. Her dam brings some light genetics but also the ability to produce color. Her sire had blacks and greys in his lineage. With Truth, who also has blacks and greys along with some lights in his pedigree, we could have anything from a light to a grey to a dark or even black. We are excited to see and are confident we will like what we see. We had a beautiful rich red brown girl we named Catching Fire! Firestarter has been an excellent mom.
