5th - 2017 Futurity, Light Bred & Owned Yearling males, Peter Kennedy. Tough show; not only was the judge biased against the spots, the whites/beiges/lights from the big farms made an impressive line-up.
1st - 2017 MOPACA yearling Beige males, Robin Nasemann. Daystar won over some impressive sons, with the judge's comment that he was the most dense, well put together with fineness, uniformity, style, and organization.
4th - 2017 MOPACA Fleece show, WHITE yearling, Wade Gease. Fourth and best handle for our BEIGE boy that was moved into white. Too bad as he would have gotten 1st and Reserve if left in beige as registered. His locks were the same or darker than the ones left in beige when we pulled sample and compared.
Best Handle!
2nd - 2017 TxOLAN Sweetheart Spectacular Fleece Show, Yearling WHITE, Amanda VandenBosch
Daystar was color checked into the huge white class of 11 entries unbeknownst to us. We had entered him as a beige (sans spots). We discovered this color change after the judging, when we observed his impressive 2nd place in a very difficult class. The comments were very favorable.
3rd -2017 TxOLAN Sweetheart Spectacular Show, Yearling Beige males, Amanda VandenBosh.
The judge said she had to knock him down in placing due to his spots, and based on her comments he had 1st place if it was not for that. Looks like his show career will be hot/cold due to these spots! :)
