WHA Athos
Huacaya,
Male,
Unproven |
Medium Fawn
AOA# 0031589901 D.O.B. 8/18/2013, 5/8 Peruvian, 3/8 Chilean
Sire:
Renosant's Peruvian Rockingham
| AOA# 30389946 | Light Fawn
|
Rockingham is a large bones solid male with a broad chest and a soft fleece. At eight years old he still exhibits crimp and brightness. He has a reserve color championship and consistently placed in the top 6 at several shows in 2007. The 4 crias we had in 2013 all exhibited very well defined crimp, handle and all were fine (under 19 micron).
Dam:
WHA Nona
| AOA# 31182942 | Medium Fawn
|
Nona is a sweet natured female who has produced two nice males for us. She has thrown the color of the sire each time. She has been shown and took third place out of seven at both the 2009 and 2010 GWAS shows. She is an excellent mother and produces a lot of milk. She is open currently and will not be rebred until 2015.
Description
This young male is a real cutie. He is on the small side, with lovely soft crimpy fawn fiber, and he is fine! His first shearing, at 10 months of age was an AFD of 17.3, SD of 3.9, CV of 22.5, and 0.8% > 30. His 2017 shearing showed an AFD of 24.9 with an SD of 5.8, a CV of 23.3, and 12.1% > 30. A very nice fleece. His sire is Renosant's Peruvian Rockingham, a big solid male with Royal Fawn and MFI Peruvian Jerico bloodlines, and his dam is WHA Nona, a medium fawn female with Hemingway and Augusto bloodlines.
We have never shown Athos due to his size. He is intact, but we are selling him as a fiber production male and at fiber production pricing.
