This our (Jefferson Farms Natural Fibers) farm in Salida Colorado

Jefferson Farms breeds the finest Paco-Vicunas. As the largest herd of Paco-Vicunas, we are dedicated to producing hearty livestock who are excellent dams and herdsires, and who maintain fine fleeces over their lifetimes. Between our two farms we average 400-450 animals at any given time. Currently we have the majority of our animals at or under 18 microns, regardless of age, and have many mature animals that at age 6-7 still are testing out at 14 microns! With their superior fineness, uniformity and density, as well as high curvatures (a measure of elasticity or resistance to compression) we routinely sell our fiber products in the range of $30.00-$40.00 dollars per ounce. At this rate of return we are able to sustain a true fiber herd. We are proud to have two farm locations, both wholly owned by Jefferson Farms Natural Fibers, at 8950 W Jefferson Ave, Denver CO 80235 and at 8815 County Road 150, Salida Co 81201. You will see photos of our Salida farm wrongly posted on other farm sites, but trust us, this farm is ours and ours alone and always has been. But I certainly understand the desire to claim the most beautiful place! Please call or email to arrange for a farm visit, get a sample of our roving, and for more information about the Paco-Vicunas.

Farm Terms & Financing

Jefferson Farms Natural Fibers does offer financing, and we are happy to work with our customers to design the financial package that offers you the most value for your investment. We also have a very limited number of breedings (you choose the dam and sire, and you get the cria for a set fee) which is too good to talk about here! It is our way of helping the fiber based industry move forward to more profits and a more stable market. So please call for more details, and to arrange your visit today.

Paco-Vicuñas and Alpacas

With the largest herd of extremely fine-fleeced paco-vicunas, we are the best destination for breeding stock, fiber animals and luxury products! Jefferson Farms Natural Fibers consists of 2 farm locations-one in Denver, and one in Salida Colorado housing over 400 paco-vicunas. PV comes in grade 0, which is 13-15 microns, and grade 1 which is 16-17 microns and in 6 natural colors. At each farm we practice proper grazing management, we compost all manures for use on the farm and as a premium product much in demand, ha! Please call today to arrange for a visit with these beautiful animals, and see for your self how great the differences are.
