Jefferson Farms Alpacas and Paco-Vicuñas

Jefferson Farms breeds the finest Paco-Vicunas. As the largest herd of Paco-Vicunas, we are dedicated to producing hearty livestock who are excellent dams and herdsires, and who maintain fine fleeces over their lifetimes. Between our two farms we average 400-450 animals at any given time. Currently we have the majority of our animals at or under 18 microns, regardless of age, and have many mature animals that at age 6-7 still are testing out at 14 microns! With their superior fineness, uniformity and density, as well as high curvatures (a measure of elasticity or resistance to compression) we routinely sell our fiber products in the range of $30.00-$40.00 dollars per ounce. At this rate of return we are able to sustain a true fiber herd. We are proud to have two farm locations, both wholly owned by Jefferson Farms Natural Fibers, at 8950 W Jefferson Ave, Denver CO 80235 and at 8815 County Road 150, Salida Co 81201. You will see photos of our Salida farm wrongly posted on other farm sites, but trust us, this farm is ours and ours alone and always has been.
